1. Who We Are
Sprintify (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent project created by Advising LTD to help agile teams plan, estimate, and collaborate more effectively. Sprintify is based in the United Kingdom and follows the principles of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This platform is entirely free and ad-free — we do not sell personal data, display ads, or use third-party trackers for profit. Our goal is to provide simple, transparent, and ethical tools for teams who value agility and openness.
2. Data We Collect
- Session Data: temporary nicknames, room identifiers, and non-personal session information used to enable real-time collaboration.
- Usage Data: pages visited, basic interaction logs, and anonymous statistics to improve platform stability.
- Device Data: browser type, operating system, and approximate IP address used for security and performance monitoring.
- Cookies: small functional cookies are used to remember your nickname and session preferences.
We do not collect account details, emails, or passwords. We also do not intentionally collect any sensitive personal data (such as health, financial, or political information).
3. How We Use Your Data
- Provide and maintain the platform’s core features, including real-time collaboration and session management.
- Ensure platform stability, performance, and security.
- Analyze general usage trends (anonymously) to improve user experience and identify potential issues.
- Prevent misuse, technical errors, or unauthorized access.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or commercial analytics. We never sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process limited data under the following legal bases, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR):
- Performance of a service: to enable core platform features such as creating and joining planning sessions.
- Legitimate interests: to maintain platform stability, prevent abuse, and improve overall performance and usability.
- Consent: for optional cookies or analytics features, if enabled in the future.
We currently do not process personal data for legal or contractual obligations, and no sensitive information is collected.
5. Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as necessary to operate and secure the platform. Sprintify does not maintain user accounts or long-term personal data records.
- Session data: temporary information (e.g., nickname or room ID) is stored only for the duration of the session.
- Technical logs: basic server and error logs may be kept for a short period to ensure platform security and performance, after which they are automatically deleted.
We do not store emails, passwords, or workspace data, and no personal data is kept once a session ends.
8. Your Rights
As Sprintify processes minimal and mostly non-identifiable data, most rights under data protection law will not typically apply. However, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you may still have the following rights where relevant:
- Access: to know whether any personal data about you is processed.
- Rectification and erasure: to request correction or deletion of any personal data, if applicable.
- Restriction or objection: to limit processing in certain circumstances.
- Withdrawal of consent: if consent has previously been given (for example, for optional cookies or analytics).
To exercise your rights or ask questions, you can contact us at contact@sprintify.net. As Sprintify is based in the United Kingdom, unresolved issues may be raised with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) via https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint .
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to keep Sprintify secure and reliable. All data exchanged between your browser and the platform is protected using HTTPS encryption.
Sprintify does not store sensitive personal data or user accounts. Temporary session information is handled securely and automatically cleared after use. Our infrastructure providers implement industry-standard security practices such as access control, monitoring, and data isolation.
While no system can ever be fully secure, we continuously aim to protect our users and their information to the best of our ability.
10. International Transfers
Sprintify primarily stores and processes data within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area (EEA). If data is transferred outside these regions, we rely on GDPR-compliant safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal mechanisms to ensure adequate protection.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
